Requirements
Operating System: Windows 2000/2003/XP home/XP Pro/Vista with Internet Explorer 5.0 above
Harddisk Space needed: 30Megabytes
Hardware: Windows Keyboard and Mouse

Notes before installing
This installation is for every users.
The person install can accesss the Shut2Save Settings. Other user cannot access the settings unless administrator or system with low security policy.
This installation will disable Fast Switch User in WinXP / Vista.
Only User accounts with administrator rights is able to install.

Steps to install
Download from the website/ link from email if its purchased.
Open the file with Winzip or auto unzip with WinXP and above.
Click setup.exe to run setup.

click Next to install the Shut2Save.


click Next after selecting location for installing.


click Next after naming location folder for shortcuts.


click install.


click finish


The Shut2Save Settings(S2SEdit) will be shown out
Edit the settings after the installation.

Preferred EDST(End of Day Shutdown Timing) is 30mins after closure time, if the closure time of the organisation is 630pm, should set at 7pm(select 1900).
Preferred Shutdown if PC is not login is 15 mins when no users have login after 15mins
Preferred Prompt Users to save work is 15 mins when users will be given time to save their work due to the shutdown of the PC at the end of the day.
Preferred Force Shutdown is checked/ticked for public or mass access PCs like Labs, Clusters PC or public PCs, so that the PCs will be shutdown at the end of the day and force the users to leave the place. Not suitable for private/home/office PC usage, as they are recommend to use the next option(hibernate if no user activity).
Preferred Hibernate if no user activity is 30 mins for home/private or office users where their place of using is safe.
After you have update the settings, click save and exit.

Restart the PC and the Shut2Save will start working after the restart.

Steps to change settings
Login the user who have installed Shut2Save.
Click Start Menu -> All Programs -> Shut2Save Settings

After you have update the settings, click save and exit.
Click Yes to restart when prompt
Changes will take effect after the PC is restarted.
